About Micco Technologies
Micco Technologies was established by David Chavez who has been in the Wired Communications industry since 1971. The company was conceived as a supplier, technical resource and as an advocate to independent cable operators and contractors during these hard economic times. Our goal is to provide unbiased technical advice, affordable prices and dependable support specifically to installers, technicians and engineers. In particular, those who need to get the job done now and get it done profitably.
David has been involved in electronics since high school and had pursued this interest throughout college. While in college, he was hired by Pacific Bell Telephone as a lineman and gained experience in aerial and underground system construction. It was the telephone industry’s interest in CATV that made David seek out companies to learn more. Hired in 1973 by a major MSO (TCI) in the San Francisco Bay area as an installer and successfully earned promotions to technician, chief technician, manager tech and regional engineer. For the following six years, David had designed and supervised construction of several CATV systems. David’s technical background and construction experience had brought him to the attention of vendors to the CATV industry. Hired by a major supplier, Anixter-Pruzan, as an applications engineer/salesman (for Domestic and Latin American sales), David continued to consul many clients in the design and construction of their systems. David has remained in the forefront of CATV technologies working for companies such as: Tomco (Headend Electronics), Catel (FM Modulation Products), Augat Broadband Engineering (Amplifier designs and upgrades), Scientific Atlanta (Distribution Electronics), Trilithic (Test Equipment), Sunrise Telecom (Test Equipment) and PTL Test Equipment (Reconditioned Test Equipment).
Over the years, what has been consistent is David’s interest in understanding the ever-changing communication technologies, how it applies to service workers and the desire to provide intelligent consultative guidance to those who are required to invest in these technologies.

Manufacturer of CATV power supplies branded under the name of MTech. And we also design and rebuild battery packs for the various test devices we sell.
Distributor of New and Reconditioned field portable test equipment primarily for the CATV, Satellite, Structured Wiring and Wireless markets. We specialize in field test equipment for RF, Ethernet and Fiber Optic technologies.
Repair Facility - We offer repair & calibration services for most of the equipment we sell.
Product Condition Definitions
New
Factory new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in original manufacturer packaging (where packaging is applicable). Includes all factory standard accessories. Factory Warranty will be specified.
New Surplus
A "Like New" item with no signs of wear. The item may be missing the original manufacturer packaging or may be may in in original packaging but not sealed. Micco Technologies 6 Month Warranty applies unless otherwise specified.
Factory Reconditioned
Restored by the manufacturer to meet manufacturer specifications and is in excellent condition. Includes all factory standard accessories. Factory Warranty or Micco Technologies Warranty of 90 Days will be specified.
Reconditioned
Restored by Micco Technologies by which the item has been inspected, cleaned, calibration verified to assure full working order and is in excellent condition. When repair and/or calibration is required, the unit is sent to an ISO9000 Certified Lab providing NIST tractable documentation. Note: Calibration date in the firmware can only be changed by the manufacturer – we can only provide a Certificate of Calibration when applicable. Micco Technologies 90 Day Warranty applies unless otherwise specified.
Used
An item that has been tested and verified to function as intended. The item may have signs of cosmetic wear and/or physical defects (which will be stated). These items are usually do not meet the cosmetic standards of Micco Technologies, so these items are usually offered in our "Special Deals" section. Micco Technologies 30 Day Warranty applies unless otherwise specified.
As-Is
An item that may not function as intended and may not be fully operational. Typically these items are for buyers who can service these items and/or for parts units. No Warranty and No Returns.
